Injury Evaluation & Assessment

Your first session will always include a time to talk about yourself and your injury. We want to be on the same page as you. Whether that is to wake up with no pain or to go play a tournament in two days. Our team is going to do our best to help you achieve your goals!

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a targeted technique we use to help reduce pain, relax tight muscles and can help you move more efficiently. Using a thin needle to the muscle to reset the tissue, improve circulation, increase recovery and modulate your pain.

Myokinesthetic System

The MYK (Myokinesthetic System) is a manual therapy that works by treating muscles to rebalance the nervous system, aiming to correct postural imbalances and relieve pain. Developed by Dr. Michael Uriarte, it is a non-invasive approach that uses manual pressure and movements to target specific nerve roots and the muscles along them. The system is used to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues, including headaches, back pain, sciatica, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Kim is certified in the MYK system.

Instrument Soft Tissue Mobilization

IASTM is a technique using a stainless steel tool gliding over the skin to detect and treat soft tissue restrictions. It is helpful for chronic muscle tightness, soreness, tendon pain and overuse injuries. This is paired with specific exercise to retrain the body to move well with the new range of motion.

Myofascial Decompression

Myofascial decompression, often called cupping therapy, uses suction to lift and stretch the body's connective tissue (fascia) to relieve pain, improve mobility, and aid recovery. For the average person, a trained professional uses cups on the skin, which creates a negative pressure to decompress the fascia, followed by movement-based exercises.

Kinetisense Movement Assessment

Kinetisense is an advanced 3D, marker-free motion-capture and movement-analysis system designed to objectively assess human movement in real time — and it can be a powerful performance and injury-prevention tool for athletes of all levels.
